The Back Stage Studio Policies
A $15 non-refundable fee is charged annually to each student. It MUST accompany the registration form to establish your account. Registration fee and Payment #1 are due at registration.
Students may withdraw within 30 days from date of registration without penalty. If canceling after the 30 day grace period, a cancellation of contract fee of $40 is incurred. Students must give a 2 week written notice before canceling. This enables students on the waiting list to enroll.
A costume deposit of $40 for each student in each class will be due the first week of September. The remaining costume fees will be split equally for the months of October and November. This enables us to order early so costumes will be delivered in plenty of time. Costume fees are non-refundable and non-returnable. However, if done early enough, costumes can be exchanged for a different size with a $20 exchange fee. We will do our best to measure and order the appropriate size for all children. Alterations may be required and are the student’s responsibility. If total costume fees are not paid by the December 9th 2010 deadline, your costume order will be cancelled.
TUITION: Under no circumstances will I hand tuition, fees, etc. or any payments to teachers or anyone. All payments will be put in the Tuition Box, sent via PayPal or mailed. I am responsible for tuition until I formally withdraw in writing. There is a $35.00 fee for all returned checks. Tuition is not pro-rated or refunded for reasons such as illness, other commitments, vacation, or weather. Make-up classes are available at a comparable class level. There is a billing fee of $15 put on my account each month that tuition is not paid by the 10th. All accounts must be paid in full to participate in the year end recital.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The BackStage Studio assumes students are in recital unless notified in writing. Students will follow all dress codes required by the class and teacher. Students are responsible for check-in attendance. I am responsible for checking email for newsletters (unless on mailing list), and signing class and costume confirmation sheets. All newsletters and information will be sent by email, unless you give a written notice to have the information mailed.
No selling or advertising of merchandise or services at the studio unless authorized by the director Julie De Bois.
By signing the registration form, I give The Back Stage Studio permission to publish photographs of my family in advertising and marketing campaigns. I understand pictures may be used indefinitely in newspapers, magazines, brochures, on the internet and other media associated with The Back Stage Studio. A written and signed note must be turned into the office for those parents and/or student who decline authorization of the photo release policy.
